Danish Dream

Photosphere’s music video for Steve Kilbey & Martin Kennedy’s “All Is One” has been selected for 2010 Bornshorts film festival, happening on a Danish island of Bornholm.
Being a Scandinavia lover and a great fan of Danish cinema, not to mention their finest rock band,
Mew and the equally talented experimental popsters, Efterklang meant so much more to me. You know, it's like someone you like actually likes you! Eh - that brings back embarrassing high school memories...
Just wished I had the resources to make it to this very idyllic looking town, but I will keep on dreaming and hope for some work.

MGMT/Tame Impala, Matt Pond PA & Wild Nothing

I finally saw a band I had been wanting to see since their debut album, Oracular Spectacular, caught my attention, as well as millions of others. Though I didn’t feel my time was wasted by MGMT, the show felt a bit lacking. I mean I was expecting colorful attire and high energy and they just kinda stood their as if it was all a routine.
The lighting was the craziest part of the show.
Here’s the review and link to photos.
And opening band,
Tame Impala

Another act that I had been wanting to see (for like 11 years) is Matt Pond PA. Though Mr. Pond finds comfort in familiarity, in his songwriting, at least you can rely on him to deliver consistently. Though the writers at Pitchfork will yawn at this... My only disappointment was that he did not bring a cello player along for this tour and didn’t have time for an interview.
